Ramblings of a Nature Lover

Whistling Thrush is one of the most beautiful and unique song birds, predominatly of the Western Ghats, bringing wake up calls with wonderful melodies every morning. One could never miss the morning whistle, closely resembling a jolly good human whistling past. To me, the songs of whistling thrush is a welcome note from the jungles, with multitude of tales and short stories. The songs could sometimes be of the arriving happy monsoons, or also the desruction underway of the Western Ghats habitat. Whatever be the emotion behind those songs, it always reminds me that it is time to get off the bed pack the binoculars to start exploring and experiencing the jungles.

To introduce me, I am Sherjin Joel, living and working in one of the busiest roads in Chennai, as a Business Consultant, and I love my job here. But, thanks to the work life balance at Beroe Consulting, i use every opportunity for an escapement  in to the wilderness (mostly Western Ghats) to keep my passion for wildlife, nature and ecosystems alive. I love the frogs, birds big mammals and the entire Biodiversity, making Western Ghats the hottest bio-hotspots of the world.
